Dogboy's New superhit!

Many members here already know how proud I am of my homeland Kazahkstan. Many may remember about 2 years ago I released a song called Мама стан which was a remix of a song by Русский размер called Мама джан (Azerbaijan).

Heh, thanks for the feedback! Im sure there will be more to come. Though the file is as small as i can make it without the quality being poor. 5 MG for 6 minutes is pretty good.

BTW, the lyrics somewhat remind me of Чернила's "привет салам", did you get some inspiration from there?

Hmm Kinda. I Learned about Belemore From that song ( I have a pack in my backpack right now). But thats about it. I've always had kinda a fascination with kazakhstan. Net serfer showed me Привет салам last march but i was singing about the steppes long before that!

I think I'm more inspired by Russkiy Razmer more than anything else... who, by the way, are also from Kazakhstan :D

What struck me the most similar is that they sang:

"привет салам, всем пацанам, кто не забыл про Казахстан" while you wrote: "Пацанам скажи салам
И не забудь про казахстан!"

But hey, whatever!

Невнимательно читаешь. Если бы он был из Казахстана, он не сказал бы: "I've always had kinda a fascination with kazakhstan.".

thats true... i didnt think about that =P Of course there was influence from the song, but that line didnt really strike me...

and no Im not from kazakhstan -(. Thats an american accent you hear, not an almatian accent... Мое тело является в америке но душа навеки потерялась где-то в степях, между южных гор и северных лугов казахстана.

Hey, dogboy! Have you heard Ногу Свело's "из Алма-ти"? That should be right up your alley! 8)

i just used my keyboard "qwerty" =).

I dont have a real keyboard here or a midi hookup, so i just had to use some digital synths and find where the keys were on this keyboard. Thats part of the reason it took so long.

And, no i havn't i dont think. I have a CD "Ekstra - for Kazakhstan" with a bunch of songs on it, but i dont think that one.

So, why do you call Kazakhstan your homeland, Dogboy? You have ancestors from Kazakhstan? Or you just like Kazakhstan for some other reason?

Макс Покровский (as well as 99% of Russians and Russian speakers I suppose :lol:) in his song uses the old spelling "Алма-Ата". But the current official version is "Алматы" which sounds awkward to be honest. I liked the previous name more. And practically everybody seems to agree with me and stick with "Алма-Ата" at least in speech.
